Bold Music Player Review

Let’s start with the user interface. Audacious’ user interface is very neat and clean. All features of Audacious are well organized. Therefore, you will see a very simple user interface where you can listen to music and manage playlists. By default, it comes with white UI or GTK interface. However, if you want to get Winamp as user interface, you can also opt for this. The software comes with The skin Support. It is also possible to show or hide tabs, number of entries, close buttons, etc. All these options are included in the Appearance settings.

Speaking of features, the main purpose of this software is to manage multiple sets of playlists at the same time. For example, you listen to rock as well as soft, classical or even instrumental, you no longer need to open these songs each time you want to listen to them. You can save the playlist in music player and open them at the same time. Other music players like VLC Media Player allow users to save the playlist, but you cannot open multiple playlists immediately.

Apart from that, you can play an audio file from a Custom URL. During playback, it is also possible to record the stream. Moreover, you can play CD directly with this tool.

Unlike most other music players, you can install plugins to extend the functionality of Audacious. There are different types of plugins such as effect related, input related, playlist related, etc.

For play multiple sets of music with Audacious, first import the first set into this application. Following this, you will get a more blue sign to create a new tab. Click it and import other songs in this tab. So you can create as many tabs as you want. However, you can only play one song at a time.

To get a different feel from a song, you can use the Effects and equalizer. There are several effect plugins that will allow you to use different themes on a particular song. The Equalizer plugin works the same as in any other music player software. But it doesn’t come with preset equalizer settings – you’ll have to create your own.

Audacious displays four different bars, namely the menu bar, the information bar, the information bar visualization and the status bar. If you want, you can show or hide them accordingly. Head to the To see tab and choose what you want to show and hide.

Considering all the features, Audacious seems to be very useful when you need to manage multiple playlists at once. However, if you want a feature-rich music player, Audacious might not be what you’re looking for. If you want, you can download it from here.
