Slash is releasing a new single ‘The River Is Rising’ this week.
The Guns N ‘Roses legend has revealed that his new track – which he recorded with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators – will be released on Friday (10/22/21) and is taken from the band’s upcoming album.
In a teaser for the song on Twitter, Slash said, “It was the first time that we did all the guitars, bass and drums at the same time, and kept all of those tracks. And we also did the vocals live. as well.
“So the record sounds like the band playing the songs we came up with, but we’re playing at the moment. And that’s what we were looking for.”
And singer Myles – who completes training with bassist Todd Kerns, drummer Brent Fitz and guitarist Frank Sidoris – admitted that he actually considered the collection to be a “live recording” because of the way they worked in. studio.
He added, “It’s pretty much a live recording, from my point of view. You’re just trying to sort of document where you are at this point in life, and do it in an authentic way.”
Meanwhile, Slash recently claimed that his forthcoming fourth album with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators was the “best” they’ve done so far.
The 56-year-old said: “I think the record itself is probably the best we’ve done so far. We’re not showing any signs of slowing down.”
The LP will follow on from 2018’s “Living the Dream”, which was Slash’s fourth solo album but his third with Myles and the band.
In December, Slash was hoping he would release two albums in 2021 – one with Guns N ‘Roses and another with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators.
He said at the time: “I would like to think we would have new things next year – from both camps, I guess.
“It’s hard to say, but I would like to think we will have things next year.”
