For the occasion, the Canadiens forward Jake Evans curated a playlist of his favorite country songs worthy of a wide-brimmed hat.
Note that some tracks may contain explicit lyrics. Auditor discretion is advised.
It’s easy to see why Evans included It’s my kind of night by Luke Bryan. It’s a classic country number about pickups, cold drinks and hanging out with the boys just waiting to be blown up on a road trip – although we recommend that you arrive at the festival site by metro.
Bryan will close LASSO Montreal headlining Saturday August 13 at 9:20 p.m. in a show not to be missed.
Friday’s headliner Dierks Bentley is pictured with his 2016 track Somewhere on a beachand it’s the perfect introduction to the 20-year industry veteran’s catalog of hits.
Nashville quintet Old Dominion most frequently appears on the playlist with five singles, and the group even includes a hockey connection. Guitarist and keyboardist Trevor Rosen is an avid NHL fan and once played in the annual Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament as a youngster.

As a Toronto native, Evans is proof that a city boy can indeed go country. Follow Canadians on Spotify to see how his playlist compares to those curated by Nick Suzuki and Brendan Gallagher.
Then, get on your horse and get ready for some record breaking time – who knows, you might even run into some Canadians along the way.
