Kid LAROI is no longer managed by Scooter Braun.

The ‘Stay’ hitmaker – who released the mega-hit with another client of the talent agent, Justin Bieber – has amicably terminated his contract with Scooter’s SB Projects, reports Billboard.

LAROI – real name Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard – will now be represented by Adam Leber at Rebel Management.

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old star recently revealed he started working with Justin after the superstar slipped into his DMs.

The music star – who also collaborated with the 27-year-old singer on the track “Unstable” – admitted he had no idea how Justin first heard about him, but was delighted when the “Peaches” hitmaker contacted him via Instagram.

He said: “I actually never asked him how he found my shit. He just sent me a DM one day on Instagram and said, ‘You have the sauce’, and I responded by saying, “Yo, what’s up? I’m a huge fan. ”He liked my post and that’s it from there.

“Two months later he sent me a DM again and said, ‘Hey, what’s your number? I think I have the right song for us. Let me send it to you.’ He sent [‘Unstable’] to me and I was like, ‘This shit is crazy’, went [and] wrote the verse, sent it back, and that’s it.

LAROI revealed that ‘Stay’ was not planned but he knew it was perfect for Justin.

He said: “I have ‘Stayed for about a year now. I was at my friend Blake’s house. [Slatkin] to house. It was me, Blake, my boy Omer [Fedi] and Charlie Puth. We were all hanging out, and Charlie went to the keyboard and just started playing stuff… and what he played was ‘Stay’ [melody], and I was like, ‘What is this?’ and he’s like, ‘Oh, no, I’m just screwing up the hell.’ And I’m like, ‘No, no, no. Start a Pro Tools session, record that shit, fire that shit. ‘ It was probably the most organic way to make a song I’ve ever done – ever.

“One day I was listening to him and I thought, fuck, Justin would sound perfect on this.

“So I actually went to the studio he works in, and I just came up with the f ****** file. I was like, ‘Are you ready?’ and he was like, ‘Yeah’. And he just did it. He just walked into the cabin and just freestyle on top; that was the craziest shit. I was like, ‘Yo, this guy is crazy. ‘

“He’d be like, ‘Yo, do you like this? Is that good?’ And I was like, ‘Keep going. Keep moving. F ******. Close it and keep moving.’ “
