A long-awaited album that a prankster has put together a Twitter counting days since last, aotearoa vaporwave producer Satin sheets a.k.a Ben Pogson overcame broken hard drive disasters to finally launch Saint Francis II via the American imprint 100% electronic. A sequel to 2017 Saint Francis (originally released by the former moniker Sprite1999), the new long drive is billed as the second half of a sonic diptych, releasing as a coveted double disc set comprising both albums (thirty-five tracks in total) on ‘ Liquid Palm’ and ‘Galaxy LP vinyl in purple color (out soon, pre-orders HERE). Heard by this listener over the weekend, setting a nice mood for a do-it-yourself hair session and as a mood-boosting soundtrack for a Sunday drive to Christchurch Airport, Saint Francis II doesn’t feel like a cool splash in the pool of your imagination – sipping on a tropical-themed drink while floating on some sort of Jeff Koons-y cartoon dinosaur/lobster inflatable device. ‘St. Francis II’ is now available on CD, cassette and digital streaming services through 100% Electronica.
