If you’ve never heard any of the Castlevania soundtracks, you should rectify this immediately. For those who missed the massive cabinet that Konami released ten years ago, Konami will be raising the stakes for you in December for the series’ 35th anniversary.

Pre-order on the official Japanese Konami store are the ensembles “Music of Akumajo Dracula Kuro” and “Music of Akumajo Dracula Aka”, which are translated, are entitled Castlevania Black music and Music by Castlevania Red. These two collections total 26 volumes divided into 13 CDs, and present almost all the soundtracks of the Castlevania series.

The two-pack will be released on December 15, 2021 in Japan at 28,600 (around $ 250). If you pre-order now you will also get an additional 14 track CD. This will include MIDI arrangements of songs from the 1995s Castlevania: Dracula X.

If you’ve managed to snag the original 2010 box set, you’re probably wondering what the differences will be this time around. Well, the DVD that was included in the original box set is gone. In its place, in addition to several tracks arranged for many titles, you now have the two versions of the soundtracks for Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest and Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. You also get the extra tracks from the Saturn version of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, as well as all Castlevania: Harmony of Despair soundtrack.

Needless to say, if you are a fan of Konami music and Castlevania (and who is not?), it is a must (especially since the 2010 box set, which has been out of print for a long time, is now offered at ridiculous prices).
